Understanding the Post-Election Media Landscape

Understanding the Post-Election Media Landscape Online

The return of Donald Trump to the US presidency underlines the complex and confusing nature of today's media landscape. This workshop aims to provide conceptual building blocks with which to understand the dynamics of this ecosystem. We'll cover:

  • The ideological and informative functions of legacy news media, and its shifting significance

  • How social media influencers, algorithms, and audiences interact to create new quasi-public spaces

  • The effects of our hybrid media ecosystem on how we receive news and information

Zoom information is provided after registering (see button below).

(Please check your junk/spam/clutter folder for the confirmation email- may be best to check your mymail directly in Outlook rather than if you forward to Gmail, etc.)

This event will be recorded, and the recording will be made available only to registered attendees.
