Propaganda and the Information Ecosystem Online

(NOTE: This session will be 90 minutes instead of the usual 60 minutes)

Propaganda thrives in our era of information overload. This workshop aims to provide both conceptual building blocks and practical tools with which to navigate this increasingly confusing landscape. We'll cover:

  • The informative and ideological functions of legacy and social media, and how the two interact

  • Recognizing common tactics from the propagandist playbook

  • Techniques to use and habits to develop for resisting media manipulation

Zoom information is provided after registering (see button below).
