Research Outside Scholarly Journals: Finding and Reading Grey Literature Online
"Grey literature" is the catchall term for scholarship that appears outside the usual system of peer-reviewed journals. Finding it is sometimes easy, and sometimes quite a challenge; however, deciding if it's appropriate to use in your own work is always a vexing question. In an effort to make sense of this scholarship, in this workshop we’ll cover:
-
Defining the scope of grey literature
-
Techniques for finding scholarship outside of the usual channels
-
Guidelines for evaluating grey literature (and justifying using it)
Zoom information is provided after registering (see button below).
(Please check your junk/spam/clutter folder for the confirmation email- may be best to check your mymail directly in Outlook rather than if you forward to Gmail, etc.)
Because this event relies on active participation, it will not be recorded. See the library's guide to Grey Literature for more resources.
